Who I Am
I discovered my passion for sustainability while spending time in hospital. Born with Cystic Fibrosis, much of my life has been shaped by invasive treatments, daily medication and the ongoing need to advocate for myself and my disability. I care deeply about creating spaces that are inclusive and accessible to all – places that I wanted to exist so deeply growing up.
Throughout that journey, nature became more than a place to relax and escape. It became my hope and purpose. As I deepened my involvement in climate and environmental advocacy, I began to understand just how closely environmental issues are connected to questions of accessibility, health, equity and social justice. I realised that the stories we tell about climate change matter, not only because they inform people, but because they determine who feels included in the conversation and who feels empowered to take action.
After completing degrees in English and Publishing at the University of Exeter, and establishing strong connections within sustainability both nationally and internationally, I knew I wanted to build a career whose foundation was meaningful storytelling. Combining my academic background with professional experience in communications, digital marketing and community engagement, I have worked to help organisations turn complex ideas into clear, engaging and impactful narratives – from global NGO Remake, to community groups across Devon.
Today, through The Conscious Press, I help climate, sustainability and purpose-led organisations communicate their work in ways that are accessible, inclusive and rooted in real human experience. My approach draws on both professional expertise and lived experience, bringing together nature, access and justice to create communications that connect with wider audiences and inspire meaningful action.
I believe the climate movement is strongest only when everyone can see themselves reflected within it. That's why I am passionate about helping organisations tell stories that are not only effective, but representative of our world – everyone is welcome here, always.
